Ethel Mae Ford-Warren, one of "GOD's ANGELS" was called by her Heavenly Father to eternal rest on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Ethel, known by all as "Sally", was born to the late Harrison Ford and Lucille Ford in Baltimore, Maryland on January 13, 1948. She received her primary and secondary education in the Baltimore City Public School System. After graduating, she met Garrison Warren of Baltimore, Maryland whom she married in January of 1970 and from that union came the birth of their only daughter Monaye M. Rikard. As her life progressed, she began her career with The Department of Labor in Washington, DC as an Executive Assistant and Accounting Specialist where she retired. Upon her divorce, she met James Parker of Washington, DC and from that union came the birth of her only son, Jazzmun T. Parker. Sally accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was a former member of First Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church under the Leadership of Bishop Oscar E. Brown. She later joined St. Matthews United Methodist Church which expanded to the New Waverly United Methodist Church where she served as Lead of the Communion Stewards and as an Usher until her illness. Sally loved The Lord and would rise before sunset to study and read the Word of God. She believed that the Word of God was her source of strength and faith. She was always willing to serve The Lord with gladness in whatever capacity that she was needed. Although Sally faced many obstacles in her life's journey she was determined to keep the faith and she did until the end. Sally was a very loving, caring, giving, warm-hearted and jovial person. She believed in enjoying life to the fullest and wanted everyone to experience it with her. She loved fashion and in her former years she was truly a "Fashion Statement". She believed in having the luxuries of life and would put on her entrepreneurial hat so that she could have just what she wanted. In fact, she was an Avon Representative, transporter of seniors, day care provider and anything else you could name, Sally did it!!! She loved to cook big meals for her family and would feed a multitude of people. She would give Fish Fry's to raise money for the community and her church. She enjoyed the holiday's because she could really prepare big meals and gather with her family. Everyone Sally came in contact with truly "loved" her. Her willingness to help so many was the part of her spirit that will truly be missed. She affectionately loved her children, grandchildren and family. In fact, she "loved" life and she lived it to the end!! Sally was proceded in death by four sisters: Ruth Hawkins, Helen Conley, Leah Fitzhugh and Gloria Keith. She leaves to cherish her life and legacy to one daughter, Monaye Rikard (George Rikard); one son, Jazzmun Parker; her just-like a daughter, Tonya Garner; Ten grand-children, Brittney Paschall, Kamyle Rikard, Shaquan Parker, Xavier Parker, Malachi Church, Desmond Parker, Amaria Parker, Maurice Parker, DaShone Richburg and Shoneta Richburg; Two brothers, Eugene Hawkins and Joseph Hawkins (Hampton, VA); One sister, Mildred Hawkins (Philadelphia, PA); One cousin, Lorraine Dawson (Bronx, NY); A special and devoted companion, Frank Johnson; Three Special Girlfriends, Patrice Cook (Bunny), Alberta Moore (Bert) and Darlene Cherry and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
