Boone
August 6, 1940 – May 5, 2019
A chapter completed, a page turned, a life well lived, and a rest well earned. Etta
Mae Boone was born August 6, 1941 one of six children, she is preceded in
death by her mother, Isabella Keith and father, Leroy Cannedy. Etta Mae Boone
remained native Baltimorean and received her formal education in the Baltimore
City Public School System. Etta accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ, in 1981. She
followed the voice of God when He commanded her to preach the Gospel of
Jesus Christ in 1982. She received her evangelistic license in 1983 through the
United Baptist Convention, Inc. of Baltimore, Maryland. In 1988, she received
her Elder's license through the United Counsel of Christian Community
Churches under then president, Rev. Theodore C. Jackson, Jr. In 1989, Apostle
Boone attended the Maryland Theological Seminary and College under the
leadership of President. Eddie R. Wilson, Jr.Tn December 1999, Apostle Boone
received her bachelor's degree in G.LA.D.D. nouthetic Counseling and is a state-
certified addictions counselor. Apostle Boone's outreach ministries include
nursing homes and the prison system at the Maryland Correctional Institution
for Women in Jessup, Maryland. This ministry started as an outreach support
system for women who had recently been released from prison and had grown
into an effective powerful ministry that called out to "whosoever will, let him
come." After going to various women's detention centers, God laid another
ministry on her heart, the Haven House of Love- a woman's transitional home.
As a result by the move of the Spirit of Christ, Jesus Saves Ministries Yesterday,
Today, and Forever Inc. was born in 1995.
Apostle Boone served as the founder and overseer of Jesus Saves Ministries.
Yesterday, Today and Forever Inc. and she also served as the founder and
president of Remnant, Inc., an affiliate of Jesus Saves Ministries Yesterday,
Today, and Forever Inc. Etta Boone is also the author of "Growing in Grace".
One of her favorite sayings was "I'm gonna love the Hell out of you."
Etta is survived by her former husband Jerome Boone, daughter Shari Reese;
sons, Juan A.(Dionne) Boone and Kevin (Joy) Boone, Spiritual son Kent Bates;
grandmother of Gregory (Megan), Sharonice, Sydney, Tierra, Robert, Jasmin,
Natalie, Travis, Jonas, April, and Mida; great-grandmother ofIsiah, Camron,
Skylar, Jordan and Marley; her sister Brenda; brothers Bruce, Carl and Dwayne.
She is preceded in death by her brother Butch. Etta is also survived by her nieces
and nephews; she was also a spiritual mother and close friend to many. She was
affectionately known as Momma Boone by many.
