Obituary

Euzonia Wofford Washington was born in Pickens County South Carolona on December 27,1922 to the late Harvey Etters & Helen WoffordJackson.She departed this life at am. On Saturday August 16,2003 after a lenghty illness.Euzonia received Christ in her life at an early age and maintained a distant membership at Mt.Olive A.M.E.Church Easley South Carolina. In the early 1940's Euzonia moved to Baltimore,Maryland where she worked on the Assembly Line at McGrath Cannery until its closing. She then retired. Euzonia met and married the late Booker T.Washington,on the 3rd of December 1955,while they lived in Turners Station Maryland. There were no children out of that union. She was a lady who had many names;''Zumphie'' as she was called by her late grandfather Amos Wofford,''the town clown'' as she was called by one of her favorite people the late Claude Robinson and she was called ''Zone'' by all others who knew and loved her.She leaves to mourn:a devoted brother in law Mack Washington,four sister in laws,six additional brother in laws,nieces,cousins and a host of devoted friends.
