Eva C. Smith, daughter of the late David and Celestine Diggs, was born on April 1, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland. She obtained her wings on March 19, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Eva received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. She held many jobs, including homemaker, where she excelled at loving her family and friends. Eva had a lifelong strong passion for taking care of others especially her grandchildren, playing bingo and going to casinos. she would always say, "I was one number away from winning the Jackpot." Eva was avid and known member of her community and committed herself to improving life's conditions as part of ODH-Tenant Council. Eva married John Smith at a young age, from whom she separated, and spent thirty-one years of her life with Luther Leroy Ford who preceded her in death. She later met a devoted good friend, Claude "robby" Robinson, who also preceded her in death. Eva will join these loved ones as well as; birth father, Edward Keve, daughter, Annette Smith; three brothers, Edward Keve Jr., and Roland Keve; and best friend Mary Patterson. Eva, also known as Celeste to many, made numerous friends and adopted many children as her own. Eva had an unconditional love for everyone she knew. Eva leaves to mourn; her sister, Gloria Thomas; two brothers, Donald Keve and William Keve; their favorite nieces, Sonia, Bernadette, Gwendolyn, Arneda, Peggy and Pamela; nephews, James and Roland; three loving daughters, Alice, Christine and Angel; two devoted sons, Sonny and Gardner; a loyal daughter-in-law, Edith; two devoted sons-in-law, Greg and James; loyal and devoted adopted son, Jammie; her wonderful grandchildren, TonySalena Cherry, Shannetta Brian, Jermaine, Jernelle, Itia, Deaires, Mason, Carlos, Sonny, Shane, Antonia, Dana, Consuelo, Horaico, Jordan; and a host of other family and friends who were very dear to her.
