EVANS JOE McCRAY, son of the late Kelly McCray and Anna McCray, was born on March 21, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on January 26, 2011. He received his education at Carolton High School in Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of eighteen he joined the United States Military and served in the Vietnam War. Place he worked were, Bethlehem Steel for Twenty years, Paramount Suit Company and Cranston Electric Company. Joe enjoyed shooting pool, playing chess, spades, basketbal and football with his friends and family. He leaves to mourn: his only sister, Elizabeth Augustus-El; brother, Richard McCray; aunts, Pearlee Ben, Louise Dengle-El, Salley McCray, Rachel Hicks and Dorris Morizon; nieces, Tracie, Nicki, Tameko and Kelly McCray; nephews, Marquest McCray-Bey and Antwon McCray; two great-nieces, Tiffany Barnes and Te'shawn McManus; two stepchildren, Terresa and Darryl; and host of cousins and friends
