Evelyn Frances Thomas, the daughter of Thomas Brown and Martha
Collins was born on August 30, 1926, in Baltimore, Maryland. She de-
parted this life on December 17, 2015, at the Lorien Medical Center in
Columbia, Maryland.

Evelyn was married to the late Simmie E. Thomas. She received her
education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. She worked in sales in
Baltimore and for a short period of time in New York.

Evelyn was baptized in the Catholic faith at St. Pius V Church, previously
located at 521 N. Schroeder Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21223. She is a
member of the Sodality Auxiliary of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Lady
Knights of St. John International Auxiliary #219.

Aunt Evelyn, as all in the family affectionately called her, doted on all
her nieces and nephews; that is first, second, third and fourth generations.
She was a great, great, great, great Auntie in every sense of the word and
in return, loved by all who came in contact with her.

In addition to enjoying holiday family get-together's, she had a passion
for jazz music and The Baltimore Orioles. She also loved bingo, took
occasional trips to the casino, and loved to eat out.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory: a host of nieces and nephews and to
name a few from the first generation, her Niece, Frances A. Harris of
Columbia, Maryland, Nephew, Bernard Williams of Baltimore, Maryland,
Niece, Bernadette Bailey of Texas and Nephew, Daniel Richardson of NYC,
her Nephew and Godson, Michael Sparrow of Baltimore, Maryland and
