Everett Myles, lovingly known as "Pops" departed this life on Friday, April 19,2019
in Brentwood, Maryland at the age of 73.
Everett was born on December 30, 1945 in Baltimore Maryland to the Late Eugene and
Mary Myles. Everett was the second born child of four siblings. He was raised in South
Baltimore with his siblings Andrea and younger twin siblings Stephen and Stephanie.
Growing up, Everett was affectionately remembered as cool, calm, and stylish. As a
youngster, Everett enjoyed dressing up and helping his favorite Grandfather Howard's
baseball team "Black Caps" during practice and games.
Everett graduated from Southern High School where he was actively involved in
sports. He then attended Morgan State University located in Baltimore, Maryland to
pursue a degree in Business. An employment opportunity led Everett to relocate from
Baltimore, Maryland to the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. Everett worked as a
Case Manager for Child and Family Services in Washington, D.C. for over 30 years
and retired in 2008.
Everett found love when he met Adele Duboise. They married in 1980 and resided in
Hyattsville, Maryland. Out of their union, Dante' Myles was born. Everett loved his
son tremendously. Dante' was a highly recognized track star athlete and academic
scholar and Everett was proud of his son's accomplishments.
Dante's marriage to Saundra Butler, whom he shared a special bond with gave birth to
his granddaughter Amirah Myles. Everett considered Saundra as his own daughter and
cherished every moment with his granddaughter whom he loved tremendously.
Everett enjoyed retirement and taking care of his beloved pet Caesar. He loved cooking
and grilling. Everett loved shopping for clothing and was indeed a stylish dresser. He
had a passion for collecting eclectic artwork, artifacts and jewelry. Everett's home was
his sanctuary to exhibit years of unique collectables. Everett was highly regarded by
his neighbors and loved his community.
Everett leaves to cherish his memory his son Dante' Myles of Greenbelt, Maryland,
daughter Saundra Butler, granddaughter Amirah Myles of Washington, D.C., siblings
Steven (Caroline) and Stephanie Myles of Baltimore, Maryland, close friends Alonzo
House of Richmond, Virginia and Irvin Morris of Gwynn Oak, Maryland, and a host
of loved ones and friends.
