Everettine Kennedy,was born November3, 1924 in Baltimore, Maryland to the proud parents of Alex andMargaret Beckom.
Being an only child, Everettine went and graduated from theBaltimore City Public School System.Everettine was affectionately known as Tina. After graduationTina went to work for Glen L. Martin Company. Then in 1961 ayoung William Taft Kennedy swept her off her feet and theywere happily married. The young couple made their home in Edmonson Village, soon after realizingthat they both had somuch love to share they added 3 children to make it complete,Andre (Ricky), Antoine (Sid), and Everettine (Sherry).
During this time the Kennedy's along with the other residents ofEdmonson Village watched their neighborhood and childrenflourish. Mrs. Tina would rule Grantley Street especially her sideof the block keeping it clean, and always making the housebeautiful. Many kids, now grown, remember Mrs. Tina's famouswords "get of my fences baby". Edmonson Village was a beautiful community Thanks to Mrs. Tina, and the other neighbors thatdiligently kept the kids involved in activities.Everyone knew Mrs. Tina and if you didn't by the time she
would joke and cut up with you, you would never forget her. Shecontinued her spiritual journey in the same church she grew upin Shiloh Baptist Church. Even in her later years she continued
to help people. Mrs. Tina worked as a Senior Companion forBaltimore City where she would visit and assist other olderadults.Mrs. Tina remained on. Grantley Street until age 94 when herhealth started to decline. On March 15, 2020 God called her to anew home with him.
Her memory will be cherished by her 2 Sons, Andre Kennedy,Antoine Kennedy; 1 Daughter, Everettine Sherry Kennedy; 2Granddaughters, Lashonda and Jaylin; Longtime friends, Mrs.
Geneva Harrid and Dorothy Bridges and many, many friends.
