Obituary

Fannie Mae Marshall Samuel was born March 30, 1935 in Bucksport South Carolina, to the late Fannie McFall and Gabe Marshall. She was affectionately loved by many for her loving smile, big heart, and open doors. She was also favored for her Father's Day and Mother's Day Breakfast. She feed and provide a safe haven to all in need. She had a unique way of making everyone who encountered her fell special in some type of way. Fannie Mae accepted Christ in her life at an early age. She attnded various chuyrches in which she fellow-shipped at United Methodist Church until her illness prevented her. Fannie Mae was dedicated worker of a host of jobs. She maintained a lengthy employment with McCormicks and Brighton Manor Nursing Home, which she retired from in the early 90's. After a long day at work we looked forward to Fannie Mae Bringing home Pepridge farm cookies for everyone. Fannie loved shopping downtown at Lexington Market and going with her good friend Dee-Dee to Funeral of people they didn't know like Wanda from Good Times. The highlight of her day was sitting on the stoop, networking and working her crossword puzzles. Fannie Mae was married to the late Albert Samuel who she loved to battled in the kitchen with fixing good ole country meals. They both were family oriented, and enjoyed cooking a feast at holiday time. Always overflowing your plate, and invitin the entire community. God blessed her with a dedicated daughter Dawn, who faithfully cared for and nurtured her mom. The love she had for her mother was unconitional, just the way mamma showed her. Dawn never wanted to share any of her kissed from her "Fannie Cakes" with anyone, but never the less she had to, momma wouldn't have it no other way. During the wee hours of Friday Morning October 14, 2011, Momma was called home to rest. After a lengthy battle of illness, God heard her cry and sent his angels to her side to process a change of address to a new home, her heavenly home. Fannie Mae proceed in death her husband Albert E. Samuel, Three sisters Evelyn, Flora Bell, and Lucy. Five brothers Robert Sr., Gabe Jr., Haywood Sr., James Windsor and Jeff. One son Harry Jelly, One daughter Daisy Dee-Dee, and one Grandson Bernard Jr. Fannie Mae leaves to cherish eight children: Bernard Sr.Mischele, Ella Mae, Alfred Lee Sr., Louis Sr. Cherly "Baby Cakes" Albert Jr. Bernadette, Chris Maxine, Dawn, and Ira. Four devoted sisters Viola, Rosella, Elleretha, and Alberts Wilie. Two devoted brothers Rufus and Willie Sleepy. Four Sister In-Laws LeAnna, Pearine, Lauretta, and Marian Sonny. A host of Grandchildren; Bernetra, Tonya, Kimberly, Janel, Danielle, Alfred Jr., Quincy, Nikki, Latoya, Louis Jr. LaShawn, Donae, Albert II, Ira Jr. Ashley, Tonia, Alana, Courtney, Tanzandra, Miesha, Chris Jr., Bernard, Kevin, Kenisha, Terrell, Nicole, Demetra, John athan, Dana, Arnika, Tysheika, Terrance, Tremal, and TeAndre, Fourteen Great Grandchildren and Two Great-Great Grandchildren. Adevoted friend Ms. Patricia A. White. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her extended family Edward, Sissy, Fenyanga, and Tiny. The Mount Street Family; The Bells, The Browns, The Guices, The Jones, The Owens, and the very dedicated Friends of the 2900 block of Riggs Ave.
