Florence C. Ballard daughter of the late Irene Simms
and Andrew Dixon was born on September 21, 1934 in Annapolis, Maryland.
She was called home to glory on February 1,2017.

Florence, affectionately known as "Tiny Baby" was educated in Baltimore City
Public School System.

She was the eldest of four children and loved her sisters and brother.
Tiny was always caring for and helped to raise nieces, nephews and
other family members.

In 1955 Tiny married, Edward Morris Ballard. She was a devoted, full
time wife and mother. Tiny raised her stepchildren, Edward, Vernon,
James, Doris (4 preceded in death) and Helena. From her union with
Edward one son was born, Charles.

In 1972 Tiny became the guardian (mother) to Andre, William, Fred and
Anthony. Tiny also cared for her great-nephew, Ellis and grandson,
Charles. She spent her life caring for others. Tiny said "I don't have
much, but what I have I will share with those I love."

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and aunt. She leaves to cherish
her memory: sons, Charles V. Johnson Ballard, Anthony Ford, William
Irvin, Andre Ford and Frederick Irvin; two sisters, Henrietta Calaman
and Gloria English; one brother, Charles Hawkins who preceded her in
death; one niece, Deborah Calaman; five nephews, Leonard Calaman,
John Fields, James Fields, Kevin Calaman (preceded in death) and
Michael Hawkins (preceded in death); one grandson, Charles Johnson;
one great aunt Elizabeth Buggie and a host of great nieces, nephews,
family and friends.
