Florence B. Elliott was born on February 13, 1928 in Parran, Maryland in Calvert County. She was the daughter of the late John Jack Berry and Irene Gorman Berry. Florence departed this life very early in the morning on Thursday, May 29, 2008. Florence was educated in the Calvert County School System until she moved to Baltimore City, where she attended and graduated from Carver Vocational-Technical High School. Florence also attended nursing school, where she received her LPN. She worked at various hospitals. Florence met, fell in love with and married Monroe Elliott. The two have been married for fifty-two years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She made numerous friends and was loved by all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband, Monroe; two sons, Eugene and Orris; daughter-in-law, Florence; brother, Sherman Berry of New Haven, CT.; five brothers-in-law, Ruben, Leroy, Romey, Morris and Albanus; five sisters-in-law, Erma, Ramona, Gail, Bertie and Elizabeth; eleven grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
