Florence Elizabeth Sanderson, daughter of the late Leslie Smith and Geneva Smith was born on December 8, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York. She departed this life on September 5, 2014 at 84 years young. She received her education at Boys and Girls High School in Brook- lyn, New York. At the age of21, she became employed with the Federal Government working at the Brooklyn Navy Yard for 38 years until she retired in 1988. She was also happily married to the late Luke Sander- son. Florence was a devoted church member who took pride in serving the Lord working as a usher. Florence moved to Maryland with her niece Deborahfor closer care in 2007 when her health began to fail. Florence was very sassy and fun loving who made lots of friends wherever she went. Her favorite saying was "it ain't like it use to be". In her final days she resided at Debbie and Betty's Family Place Elderly Home. She will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew her. She was al- ways a true friend and a devoted family member. She leaves'to mourn: nieces and nephews, Deborah Maria Wilson, Leslie Jarmond, Iona Jarmond, Mia Wilson-Mewborn, Christopher Wilson Jr., and Brhea Wilson and a host of other family and friends.
