Flossie Riley was born on March 25, 1930 to the late Johnny ad Carrie Braxton. She was the fifth of six children. She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Flossie met and married the late Roosevelt Riley. There were no children from this union. for over twenty years, Flossie worked for The American Cancer Society. Later she did private duty care for doctors. Aunt Flossie enjoyed watching game shows on TV, playing bingo and the lottery. She had a big crush of Issac Hayes the singer. Flossie loved herself some Tiger Woods. She never missed watching him o TV. If you happened to call her during his golf game, Flossie would say, "Tiger's on. I'll call you back." To her family we knew her as a strong-willed person who was very independent and liked doing things for herself. Flossie was a very feisty and out-spoken lady. All of her family has memories of her vocal opinions. She loved cooking for her family - whether she was at home or at your house. As our only living aunt, she shared words of wisdom d entertaining stories about the past. We will miss her warm smile and loving spirit. On January 15, 2012, Flossie Riley was called home by her Maker at Manor Care Rossville. She is survived by brother; John H. Braxton; seven nieces, six nephews, twenty-seven great nieces and eighteen great-nephews. She was preceded in death by father, Johnny Braxton; mother, Carrie Braxton; husband, Roosevelt Riley; brother, Christopher Ellis Sr.; three sisters, Cassie Bradford, Irene Harris and Ruth Braxton.
