Deacon Floyd June Maynard , son of the late Fannie Sue Pulliam Graves-Malone and Irvin "Cab" Maynard,
was born or
e December 25, 1943 in Burlington, North Carolina. Deacon Floyd Maynard earned his wings of

eternal rest on August 10,2017, after a lengthy illness.
Deacon Floyd Maynard received his education in the Burlington North Carolina Public School System. Deacon Floyd Maynard was a high school graduate of Jordan Sellars High School, class of 1962. Deacon Floyd Maynard enjoyed attending his high school class reunion and traveled to Burlington, North Carolina to mingle with classmates and catch up with old friends.
Deacon Floyd Maynard relocated to Baltimore Maryland, after graduating from high school and completing his tour of duty in the United States Army. After serving in the Vietnam War, Deacon Maynard was honorabl y discharged as a Sergeant. Deacon Maynard met his life-long companion, Victoria Bond soon after that. The couple was inseparable . The couple enjoyed attending parties, bowling , traveling and could always be spotted sporting the latest fashions in clothing and hairst y les. The couple officially married on September 4, 1999 but have been together for over 50 years. '

Deacon Floyd Maynard was employed by the U . S. Railroad, AMTRAK" with the BMWE-Safety Liaison, B&B Track Development Unit , until he retired in 2013. Deacon Maynard was very proud of his position with AMTRAK and also ser v ed as the President of the BMWE, Union, and Local-3075.

Deacon Flo y d Maynard a c cepted Christ into his life at an early age, and was a dedicated andfaithful memb e r of the Second Antioch Baptist Church. Deacon Ma y nard served on the Diaconate Ministry, the Males Chorus and The Voices of Second Antioch Choir. When you visited Second Antioch Baptist Church , you could often hear Deacon Flo y d singing quartet music and solos.

Deacon Flo y d Maynard cared, enjoyed and loved his family, immediate and extended. Deacon Flo y d especially loved his wif e, Victoria Ma y nard. Th e conversations these two would have, could have given a s it c om a run for
their mone
y . The Cheshire Grin , Deacon Flo y d would ha v e, ever y time , he spoke of his wife and how mu c h she lov e d and c ar e dfor him was pri c el e ss.

Deacon Flo y d Ma y nard was affectionately called, King Floyd, Pop-Pop , Grand-pop, Granddadd y and Uncle Flo y d by all that knew and loved him. Deacon Ma y nard enjo y ed driving, y es, even when told not to , ' traveling , he loved going to North Carolina and his Famil y Reunions, wat c hing sports, he was an avid Denver Broncos and New York Yankees Fan, he was ver y fond of horse racing. Spending time with his wonderful wife , children, sisters, in-laws, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, Godchildren, extended family and friends.

special sister Mabel.
