Floyd Simmons, son of Mamie Simmons Seward of Chesapeake, VA and the late Jerome Eason, was born on July 7, 1952. Floyd went home to be with our heavenly Father on November 19, 2016.

At an early age, Floyd was baptized and attended the Prince of Peace Holiness Church. He was educated in the Chesapeake Public School System.

Floyd was around eighteen when he made his home in Baltimore, Maryland. He was employed by Sears and also held other jobs.

Floyd had many friends and was loved by all. He would help you in anyway he could.

Floyd joined The Ark Church and was a dedicated member.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Mamie Seward and stepmother, Darlene Eason; six children, Tomeko, Donnyel and Sharon Simmons, Dartayon Robinson, Nia Fulwood and Alglenn Goods; six sisters, Patrease and Janice Seward, Arnita Gordan (William), Millicent Davis (Lewis) all of Norfolk, VA, Sonya Sharpless and Sabrina Eason of Waterbury, Connecticut; six brothers, Wayne Seward of Virginia Beach, V A, Kevin and Clarence Seward of Norfolk, VA, Jerome, Andre and Antonio Eason of Waterbury, CT; three grandchildren; five aunts, Virginia Simmons, Emily Lewis, Minnie Simmons, Marjorie Eason and Elsie Robinson; two uncles, Joseph Lewis and Augustus Eason; a very special, devoted friend, Catherine Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Jerome Eason, Sr.; sister, Diane Scott and two brothers, Brian Seward and Richard Simmons.
