Frances Delores Blackwell, daughter of the late Lula and Eugene Johnson. was born in Belmont, North Carolina, on February 20. 1940 She departed this life September 29,2014, 11 :30 a.m. at Sinai Hospital after a lengthy illness. Two sisters and two brothers proceeded her in death. Frances moved to Baltimore at the age of six and was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. graduating from Douglass High School. Frances met and married Wallace Blackwell and from this union five children were born. Darcel! Crawley, Adrienne Blackwell, Wallace Blackwell Jr., Gregory Blackwell. One son, Troy Albert Blackwell proceeded her in death. Her main interest in life was the we" being of her children. Frances worked at Sinai Hospital as a Nursing Tech for Thirty one years and she loved every moment of it. She always went the extra mile for those she cared for and was given the name of "Doctor Blackwell" by her favorite Doctor, Dr. Mark Gertner. Frances reluctantly retired in March of 2000. Frances had a true passion for cooking! Everyone who tasted her food wanted more and more. Her 'Chocolate Cake" and "Potato Salad" were simply delicious! Her best friend of sixty two years, Lucinda, was sure to be at Frances's home, at the mention of potato salad! France's love and devotion to Jehovah gave her great inner peace and joy. She was baptized in December 2007 and she was always excited to attend her spiritual meetings at the Kingdom Hall. She worked diligently in the Ministry and couldn't wait to Witness for Jehovah. She worked tirelessly until her health failed. Her favorite time of the day was Study Time and her talks with Mother Mary Tate, whom she loved very much. Frances leaves to remember her with love: Two daughters, DarceJ/ and Adrienne, Two Sons, Wa/Jace and Gregory, one brother Henry Easter (Mary), Four Grandchildren, Ernest George, Tina Ke/IJy (Stephen), Wallace Blackwell fIf and Emerson B. Davis, Four Great-grand Children, DaneJ George, Ashshanay Kelly, Stephen Kelly III, Stevie Kelly, Spiritual Mother, Sister Mary Tate, Life long friend Lucinda Queen a host of relatives, friends and her entire spiritual family.
