Francine Bradford the daughter of the late Cassie Bradford and the late Henry Burtwell Sr. was born on November 3, 1950. She went to join her heavenly Father on April 4, 2014. Francine grew up in a large family in West Baltimore. There was plenty of arguing and fighting but there was also a lot of love between the siblings. She was taught by her mother at an early age that family was very important. Fran remembered that all her life. Franny raised her children in the Fairfield Community and later in West Baltimore. She was very outgoing and she extended hospitality to family and friends in her neighborhoods. Everyone knew and loved her. She worked for Y &L Transportation as a Bus Aide until her health made it impossible for her to continue to work. Francine enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her large extended fam ily. She never turned anyone away if they were hungry and needed something to eat. She treated everyone as if they were family. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, listening to music, watching TV and every now and then when her health permitted getting up and busting a move to her favorite record. Franny and her sister Cassia had a tradition of their two families cele- brating Thanksgiving together. Whenever she needed a break she would call her brother-in-law, Bernard to come and get her or to bring her something to eat. No one will forget her calling to say "Do you know what time it is." That meant she need Libby to make her chicken and dumplings. Fran was very proud of her children and grandchildren, es- pecially her sidekick, her youngest granddaughter Taya. On nice days you could see her sitting on her porch talking to her neighbors as they went by. She leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Yvette (Damon) and Shar- trice; 1 son, Gerald; 8 grandchildren, Sharneice, Kenneth, Darnell, Kend- rick, Taya, Darius, Da'Shanae and Ayani; 5 sisters, Olivia, Cassia, Harriet, Valerie and Jocelyn; 4 brothers, James, Ronald, Joseph and Edwin; 1 uncle, John Braxton; her favorite brother-in-law, Bernard; spe- cialfriend, Craig Diggs (Moobie) and a host offamily and friends.
