Obituary

Francis Arnold Gibson, was born on November 2, 1944, the third of three children , to the late James Rudolph and Babara Alice Gibson in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on June 8, 2010. Francis, "Arnold," as he was affectionely known, was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Clever Catholic Church. He was educated in the Baltimore City School System and attended Morgan State University. From a very young age, Arnold was known to be weell groomed and well mannered. It was during his young life, growing up on Carey Street, where he mettwo of his oldest friends, Albert and Mousey. In 1966, Arnold married his childhood sweetheart, Camilla "Weet", and from this union came two daughters, Michele Missey and Nicole Puff. Arnold served his tour in the United States army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. He pursued his career with the Federal government as Program Analyst, and after 34 years, he retired in 2000. Arnold was a dedicated brother of Friendship Lodge #1 and he never hesitated to go above and beyond to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was a great mentor and a sincere friend. He loved people and people loved him. Arnold adored his grandchildren, Steven and Logan, and he loved to spend time with his family and friends. He loved telling stories from :"back in the day", enjoyed outdoor grilling, preparing his famous chicken and dumplings with homemade biscuits and making his fabulous "Uncle Arnold" scambled eggs and cheese. On any given day, you could ask Arnold how things were gooing and he would be quick to reply that "everything is just like down-town". Arnold loved life and his "hearty-laugh" was known by all who knew him. He will be truly missed but never forgotten. He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Camilla, two adoring daughters, Michele Missey and Nicole Puff; two grandchildren Steven ?Arnold and Logan Mackenzie; son-in-law, Edward; granddaughter, Keshia; two dedicated goddaughters, Kim and Pona; four sisters-in-law, Betty, Peggy, Mary catherine and Shirley; three brothers-in-law, thomas, Joe and Freddie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, william Mickey and James Kie.
