IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank
Bryan
February 20, 1930 – January 6, 2022
Frank Bryan, aka "Pop Frank; China Red", beloved son of the late Sylvester and Warina
Bryan was born on February 20, 1930, in Baltimore, Maryland. He had two brothers.
Roland and Herbert Bryan and one sister, Agnes Brockington, who all proceeded her in
death.
He received his formal education in Baltimore City Public Schools.
At an carly age, Frank was a Corporal in the Army of the United States and was honorably
discharged on January 25, 1952.
On December 25, 1952, Frank married his sweetheart Louise Williams and from this
union they were blessed with three sons, Arvie Kennedy, Darrell and Glenn Bryan who
all preceded him in death and one daughter, Ginger Bryan.
After his discharge from the Army of the United States, Frank worked at Koppers
Company until he retired. Because of his love for being around people and keeping busy,
he later came out of retirement to work part time at the Social Security Administration in
Woodlawn, Maryland and was a baseball manager for the Piedmont Tigers baseball
league.
Frank later married the second love of his life, Juanita Ora Profit on June 24, 1983. Out
of this union, Frank was blessed and gained three more daughters, Evon Ruffin, Vernice
Jackson and Carolyn Paul, which all preceded him in death. Juanita brought laughter, joy,
and good times into Frank's life. Juanita cared for "Frankie" for as long as possible before
she became ill and was no longer able to. When she was admitted into several medical
facilities, Pop Frank would visit her every Saturday, sing to her, and bring her seafood.
Frank was fun loving, comical, loved his music and loved spending time at home in his
man cave he warmly named as "China Town". Frank loved to travel. Frank, Nita, the
girls and other family members, often travelled on family trips around the states. He
enjoyed family gathers, watching sports, especially his favorite football team, the
Baltimore Ravens, and loved his soft-shell crabs, cheesesteak subs and marsh rabbit.
Preceding him in death: devoted parents, Sylvester and Warina Bryan; sons, Arvie,
Darrell, Glenn; and daughters, Vernice, Evon and Carolyn.
Frank leaves to carry on his legacy: devoted daughter Ginger Bryan; his sister Virginia
Holt; son- in law, Reginald Jackson, grandchildren Darrell Bryan, Jr (Tina), Glenn Bryan
JI., Corey Bryan, Derrick Jackson (Tiffany), Timothy Paul Jr. (Selena), Tia Robinson
(David); host of great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends
