Obituary

Frank Lee Coles, son of Frank Lee Coles, Sr. and Mary Martha Williams, was born on December 3, 1944 in Long Beach, New Jersey at Monmouth county Hospital. He departed this life on November 2, 2012 after living a service - oriented life. Frank received his high school education from Baltimore City College and graduated in February 1963. While at City, Frank ran track, wrestled and sang in the Glee Club. He spent his summers in New Jersey where he was a teen camp counselor for Camp Seashore. He continued his education in higher learning at Morgan State College, after which he enlisted in the United States Army Reserves and served as a Specialist. He furthered his studies by joining the apprenticeship Program with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers IBEW, Local #24 and upon completion, became a Journeyman. Whit further hard work and study frank eventually obtained his Master Electrician License setting him on the path to creating what is now known as Urban Electric Company Inc. He was also the founder and CEO of Metro Music Inc. at Mondawmin Metro Plaza. among his entrepreneurial endeavors, Frank was also a Real Estate Investor; acquiring numerous properties around Baltimore City. Frank accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and used his teachings as the foundation for the values he established for his life. Not only Frank come from a strong Christian upbringing but he also married into a ministerial family. Frank set his sights on his future wife on her school graduation day in 1966. He married his loving and devoted wife on July 13, 1968. From this union two children were born Yvette M. Coles and Kristina E. Coles, who preceded him in death. frank was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Frank's affiliations were Master Mason. Brother Frank L. Coles was a member of William F. Taylor Lodge #57 of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Maryland, Free and Accepted Masons, IBEW, National Electrical Contractors Association, NAACP lifetime member, Minority Contractors Association, Minority Business Enterprise and Founding Member Raven Roost 79. Frank received his greatest joy from spending time with his family; especially his daughters and his three "grand monsters." Frank loved spending his quiet mornings and afternoons browsing the Real Estate and Car sections of the newspapers. He enjoyed browsing Auto Trader and Homes Magazines. Frank instilled the love of Real Estate into his two daughters who both acquired Real Estate Licenses. He also took great pleasure in relaxing by the water; boating, fishing and swimming. Frank was an avid music lover; enjoying groups such as the Ojays, Spinners, Teddy Pendergrass, and the Temptations. This love inspired him to turn his love into a business venture; leading him to open a Record shop. He enjoyed taking his chances playing video games and Keno with his friends at the Corinthian and Windsor Inn. Frank leaves to cherish his memory; a loving wife, Johnette Coles; his devoted daughter, Yvette Coles; loving grandchildren, Caleb Frank Charles, Khaliah Juanette Karim and Cameren Lee Karim; future son-in-law, Khalil Karim; treasured sisters, Viola Coles, Geraldine Coles Winston and Phyllis Yarboro; his Aunt Purnell; cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Yarboro.
