Frank Peterson, son of the late Rufus and Adeline Peterson, was born on August 29, 1930 in Manning, South Carolina. He departed this life on April 11, 2015 after a lengthy illness. He received his education at Manning Training School in Manning, South Carolina. In 1952 he enlisted in the US Army, upon his discharge he drove trucks for many years, Dukeland Packing Company, Dignan. In 2011 he joined Love of God Church, received salvation and was baptized in Jesus Name. He was faithful until his illness. He married Helen Ruth Byes and out of this union Charles, Deena, Niyoka, Octavia and James. Frank made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed. He was a devoted family man. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Helen Ruth Peterson;children,Charles(Daisy), Deena, Niyoka (Corey) and Octavia; one brother, Chappel Peterson; 15 grand- children, Charles, Tineka, James Jr., Lewis, E-elvin, Pierre, Satasha, Erica, Jonte, Chardaze, Orin, Jada, Tay- lor, Ikiea and William; great grands; six sisters-in-law, Essie, Lou Jane, Shirley, Bertha Willie Mae and Cienna Mae; two brothers-in-law, Willie Byes, Jr. and Werry Byes and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by: one son, James; four broth- ers, George, Goldboro, Henry and Sam; three sisters, Lillian Brown, Mary A. Johnson and Josephine Davis; one grandson, John Marquez; four sisters-in-law, Amelia, Clara, Lethia and Margretta Ingram; four brothers-in- law, Israel Johnson, Ellison Brown, Eugene Davis and Ferdinand Byes.
