IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frieda Agnes
Hill
January 3, 1949 – June 3, 2024
Life Reflections
After a life well lived, Frieda Boyd-Hill, affectionally known as "Boo," passed
peacefully from this earth to glory on Monday, June3,2024, at home in the
loving care of her children into the arms of our eternal Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ.
Frieda was born to the late Catherine and Theodore Boyd on January 3,
1949, in Baltimore, Maryland. To this union, there were twelve children,
including Boo. Their love and devotion to one another made the Boyd
family well-known and respected in their neighborhood. As a native of
Baltimore, Boo spent her formative years in the Baltimore City Public
School System.
As a young woman, Boo became the proud parent of several children,
Vernon III, Theodore, Donald, Vernon Jr. and Irma (Peaches). Boo later
married, and her home was always filled with love, good times, bingo, and
laughter, and they often invited family and friends over for get-togethers.
She enjoyed a lengthy career in childcare and housekeeping. For her,
retirement was not a time to relax but an opportunity to pursue her true
passion: caring for family, children, and friends. Her compassion for people
brought immense joy to her life. People loved being around Boo, especially
her family. One of Boo's favorite phrases was, "Family is Power".
She lived a very full, active, and spirit-filled life. She realized all her strength
and blessings were due to her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ. When providing words of encouragement or advice, Boo was never
ashamed to tell others always to remember God in their lives. Boo always
continued to keep her love for God and His people alive in her heart.
Boo was a truly joyful person with a giving spirit and a beautiful and
contagious smile. She freely shared with those she loved, especially when
they were in need. When thinking of words to describe her, many come to
mind. Boo was funny, wise, strong, dependable, outspoken, loyal, humble,
kind-hearted, generous, forgiving, trustworthy, and supportive.
Boo was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Hill, Sr; three sons,
Vernon III, Donald, and Theodore:parents, Catherine and Theodore Boyd;
brothers, Theodore, Thomas, Rudolph, and David; sisters, Mary, Louise,
Mabie, and Bernadine; grandchildren, Keona and Geratdo and she leaves to
cherish her memories, one daughter, Erma (Peaches); one son Vernon Jr.;
sisters, Catherine (John) Lee and Bernice (Carl) Shrieves; brother, Dan
(Rosalyn) Boyd; grandchildren, Theodore Jr, Joshua, Shyee, Da'Chanae,
Ronaldo, Ricardo (Rachel), Brittany, Richie, Rishard, Richawn, Lachell and
Lashawn; great-grandchildren, Carley, Ricardo, Camille, Kay tee, Bryson,
Dalelas and Riley; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous
to mention.
Boo's loving family will greatly miss her, and she will always be
remembered in their hearts
