Frissell Paige Lemon, Jr. was born on January 20,
1947 to the late Frissell P. Lemon, Sr. and Bernice Tynes. He
entered into eternal rest on March 12,2016.
Frissell accepted Christ as Savior at an early age at
Shepherdsville Baptist Church, while visiting his grandparents
in Gloucester, Virginia. He was educated in the Baltimore
City Public School System, and graduated from Baltimore
City College (The Castle on the Hill) in 1965. He was
employed over thirty years at Bethlehem Steel, Sparrows Point.
Frissell married the love of his life Delois Wright on October
1, 1966. God blessed their union with three beautiful
children. If you asked him how many children he had, he
would say he had a lot of children, because many of his
children's friends called him Pops. He loved children so
much that after his kids grew up he began collecting dolls. He
said that his collection of dolls represented how many
children he wanted to have if his finances would have
allowed.
Over the years, he had several collections that had
sentimental value to him. He enjoyed having his children and
grandchildren involved in adding to his collections of fish for
his aquariums, comic books, plants, and action fIgures.
Another love of his life was his favorite Rottweiler, Ebony.
He also was the keeper of the family photos, and if you
showed any interest at all, he would pull out his photo albums
and begin sharing the stories of who, when, and where. He
loved reminiscing about his childhood, growing up in Cherry
Hill, and spending time in Gloucester, Virginia. Frissell
pretended not to be sentimental or like displays of affection,
but anyone who spent time with him knows that he was and
did. Everyone who knew him loved him. He truly will be
missed.
He loved telling stories. He told many stories about the
people and things that happened at Sparrows Point. He often
talked about the friends he met "touring Baltimore" while
being transported to and from Dialysis using MTA Mobility.
He had something to say about everything. He rarely held his
tongue. Being in his presence, guaranteed you a laugh and
good conversation. He was a great joy to be around.
Frissell was preceded in death by: four siblings, Odell
Thomas, Shirley Peace, John C. Tynes, Jr., and Vernon Tynes.
