Obituary

Gamaliel Smith, Jr. the only son born to Gamaliel and Karen Smith, Sr., in Baltimore,
Maryland, on May 20, 1979; the grandchild of the late Grafton and Mary Smith, Sr.
and the late James Ghee and Thelma Gill, departed this life on February 11, 2016.

Affectionately known as 'Lil Chuck' to family and 'Cheeze' to friends; his gentle spirit
was full of love and laughter. His joy was to see everyone happy. 'Lil Chuck' enjoyed
life and loved being around others. His family as well as his friends will miss his easy
way of sharing conversations and laughs. He especially enjoyed laughing and having
fun with family and friends.

'Lit Chuck' was raised in Baltimore, Maryland and received his education through the
Baltimore City Public School System. He later went to work in various industries as a
warehouseman, construction worker and driver's assistant with Rockland Industries,
Inc., United Parcel Services, Inc. and Aerotek.

As a child, 'Lil Chuck' accompanied his mother in attending Christian education
workshops and training classes at various Church Wide Institutes and attended Sunday
school with his father. 'Lil Chuck' accepted Christ at the early age of twelve and was
baptized at New St. John Baptist Church on December 8, 1991, by Rev. Eugene
McKinney.

'Lit Chuck' loved his little girl and was a devoted father to his daughter. So 'my a Smith,
who preceded him in death in 2013.

Lil Chuck leaves to cherish his memory, his Parents: Gamaliel and Karen Smith, Sr.;
Sisters: Tina, Tammy and Tyesha; Nephews: Michael and Tyree; Nieces: Tysheria,
Tayvonia and Kaniya; Aunts: Norma Allen, Trudy Thigpen (Willie), Phyllis Watkins
(Dwight),.Mary Smith, Alicia Smith, Linda Robinson (David) and Denita Spriggs
(Lemuel); Uncles: Keith Ghee (Donna), Tyrone Smith (Sharon), Mark Smith, Tony
Smith and Donta Smith (Rhonda); Great-Uncles: Tony Darby (Cynthia), Larry
Matthews and Gene Day; Great-Aunts: Sallie Ghee, Camilla Darby, Rosa Phillips, a
host of cousins, relatives, friends and a special friend, Kellie and her daughter, Jada.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, his grandparents, five uncles: James F. Ghee,
Angelo Ghee, Sr., Jerome Cromwell, Grafton Smith, Jr., Sterling Smith and one aunt,
