Gary Nathan Bass, the son of the late Charles Bass Sr. and the late Hortess Bass Mitchell, was born on August 10, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on September 4, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Gary attended the Baltimore City Public Schools and he worked as a Veterinarian Assistant at Vincent's Animal Hospital for many years as well as other jobs. Gary was loved by all especially the residents and staff of the Manor Care Rehabilitation Facility. He enjoyed sports. His favorite teams were the Baltimore Orioles and the Bal- timore Ravens. He loved "old school" music, fishing, cars, and eating sauerkraut. He joined the Mount Nebo Baptist Church and Ministries, Inc. and was baptized on May 25, 2014. Gary loved the Lord. Those who preceded him in death are: Aunt Mary Axers, brothers: Claude Jr., Charles, Michael, and Ronald; one sister, Deborah; nephews, Carl and Floyd Jr.; two brother- in-laws, Kevin and Carl. Gary is survived by his daughter Nicole Spears, one grandson, Quintin Houston, stepfather, Claude Mitchell, one sister, Claudette Mitchell; three brothers; Gregory (Ann), Floyd Lewis, Karl (Shirley); and a sister-in-law, Harriet E. Mitchell, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a special friend at Manor Care, Pearlie Johnson. Memorial Service Joseph H.
