Obituary

Gayle Yvette Brodie , daughter of Authuretta and Randolph Brodie was called home on October 19,2016. She was born August 30, 1958. She was the oldest out of five children.

Gayle received her education in Baltimore City Public Schools System.

She worked at Row Clothing Factory for a long time.

Gayle was a loving and caring person. She had a heart of gold. She would give you anything if she had it. She loved spending time with her grandkids every chance she get. She also loved spending time with family and friends. Gayle loved her some Luther Vandross and she loved her beer with a straw.

Gayle had a brief courtship with Robert Wynn and they conceived a daughter on July 9, 1981. Shortly after, she met and married her beloved John M. Holland. They married in 1988.

Gayle leaves to mourn: her mother and father, Authuretta and Randolph Brodie; one daughter, Lashawnda Brodie; son-in-law, Bernard Walker; four grandkids, Tyliya Brodie-Peay, Tynarria Walker, Bernard Walker. Jr., Tynaesha Walker and one unborn grandchild; sisters, Joyce Brodie, Karen Greene, Michelle Brodie and Cornellia Downy who preceded her in death; brothers, Kevin Brodie, Donell Brodie and her beloved husband John Holland who preceded her in death and a very special friend, Tony Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
