Geneva J. Davis, daughter of the late Ernest and Bernadine Pinkney was born June 8th, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland. Geneva (Jean) departed this life on January 13, 2021 after a lengthy illness. Jean received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools System. After high school Jean was employed at Beta Shoe Company. Jean met and married Ernest Davis and became a stay at home Mom until her children were older. Later, she took courses at Catonsville Community College, following that she worked at Pitney Bowes until she retired.

Jean enjoyed family gatherings, word puzzles, eating crabs with family and friends and watching soap operas. Jean was also a member of St. Luke Methodist Church where she sang on the choir. She was adamant about having her nieces and nephews friends, call her Aunt Jean too. She made numerous friends wherever she went and will be sincerely missed by everyone. Jean leaves to mourn: 3 sisters, Bernadine, Patricia and Colleen Pinkney; 2 brothers, Clayton and Ronald Pinkney; 5 grandchildren, Darneil, Donate and Domenic Felder, Shawna Smith and Tionne Taylor; 8 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Pam Smith; 3 brother-in-laws, Alonzo Davis Alfraid Davis and James Wilson; 6 sister-in-laws, Patricia Davis, Carolyn Davis, Geraldine Warfield, Glendora Gram, Kim Pinkney and Annabell Davis. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and 1 loving Aunt Marion Pinkney.

She was preceded in death, by her husband, Ernest J. Davis Sr.; 3 children, Stanley "Peanut" Smith, Charlene "Char" Davis and Ernest J."Jamie" Davis Jr., 1 brother Donald Warfield; 2 sisters Barbara Wilson and Kathleen Pinkney.
