Obituary

Geneva Lemmon Myrick, the daughter of the late Willie and Rebecca Lemmon, was born August 23, 1924 in Shiloh Community of Sumter County, South Carolina. Geneva was the eighth child of nine children. Geneva was member of the Ashbury United Methodist Church until she moved to Baltimore, Maryland where she became a member of the Mt. Hope Baptist Church and later joined the St. John Methodist Church. Geneva was educated in the Sumter County Public School System. Geneva came to Baltimore, Maryland in 1943, met and married the late Joseph Myrick who preceded her in death. Of this union were five children. One son, the late Jackie, preceded her in death. Geneva had three sisters, Mary, Elizabeth and Lilly, and three brothers, Thomas, Davis and Carroll that preceded her in death. Geneva retired from Milford Manor Nursing Home in 1994. Geneva was affectionately known as ''Boot''/Momma to all of her family and friends. Geneva was aloving, kind and remarkable mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and person to all whom came n contact with her. She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Theresa; three sons, Joseph, Kenneth and Dennis Myrick; one sister, Willie Beck Vaughn of Lynchburg, South Carolina; two adopted daughters, Mattie and Dorothy Miles; six grandchildren, Bam, Tyrone, Shamika, Adrian, Kenneth Jr., and Denisha; one godgranddaughter, Nicole and her kids; nine great-grandchildren, Rashea, Deonte, Yaniqueka, DaShawn, Tyesha, Joy, Kejuan, Montrea and Alija; fourteen adopted grandchildren; two devoted friends, Stevie and Goldie; three special family friends, Wanda, Audrey and Butch; and a host of relatives and friends.
