IN LOVING MEMORY OF
George
Beasley
January 2, 1968 – March 5, 2020
George Halkom Beasley, affectionately known as "Julius", son of the late George
Beasley Jr. and Novella Beasley-Townes was born on January 2, 1968 in Balti-
more, Maryland. He departed this life on March 5, 2020 after a lengthy illness.
George received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools System.
After high school George performed many different odd jobs such as moving
furniture, selling clothes, and his favorite job of all selling fruits and vegetables as
an Araber. George viewed himself as a great salesman and would never take no for
an answer. When his friends and family saw him coming they knew he had
something to sell and they were prepared to buy it because they knew if they didn't
he would come back again the next day with a new sales pitch.
George had numerous friends and he was known wherever he went. He was a very
light hearted and happy person that would give you the clothes off his back. He
loved spending time with his friends and family especially his grandchildren.
Whenever his grandchildren would visit he would be sure to give them plenty of
candy, ice cream and chips as an expression of his love for them. George loved to
watch Westerns and listen to Oldies But Goodies on his MP3 player. While
listening to his MP3 player he loved to sing really loud, however he rarely knew
the correct words to the songs he loved. He enjoyed spending time with his son
Antonio and giving him words of advice. George and Antonio would spend many
nights together in the kitchen cooking dishes that they would call "their creations".
Needless to say they were the only ones that ate "their creations." His first born
Danielle was perfect in his eyes. She could do know wrong. His nickname for her
was "Baby Doll". When Danielle came to visit he would always ask her to help
him fix his phone or tablet, because he was not tech savvy. He also loved his
second daughter, his God Daughter Ca'Shaey. George love to walk to the store
with Ca'Shaey and he loved when she would cook him dinner. He would always
ask her to cook for him and he loved her meatballs the most. All of this aside his
most favorite thing to do was spend time with his longtime companion and first
love Michelle McCoy. George loved to spend mornings with his love drinking
coffee and cracking jokes on people as they walked passed the window. George
and Michelle spent more than 35 years together before his untimely death.
George leaves to mourn: mother, Novella Beasley-Townes, father, Andrew
