I have fought a good fight: I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Hence Forth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
George William Orange Sr. was born March 15, 1945 in Culpeper, VA to Ruby Euguenia Orange and the late Jesse Nathaniel Gaskins. He departed this life on August 11, 2021 after a brief illness.
George started his education in Culpeper, VA. He later moved to Baltimore, MD during his early teens and where he remained throughout his life. He continued his education at RETS Electronic School and TESST College of Technology for HVAC. He opened his own refrigeration and air condition business named D&G Appliances in Baltimore, MD. He was affectionately known to his family and friends as Georgie Boy. He served in the military and was discharged with honors.
George loved to bowl, play cards, dress up, travel, cruise, watch westerns and sports.
George leaves to cherish his memories his children George William Orange Jr., Rolanda Johnson, Shannon Orange, and their mother Carolyn Orange; Janel Coleman, Javana Petty, and their mother and his significant other Denise Smith; 1 Daughter in-law Lametria Orange and 2 Son-in-laws Jerome Johnson Jr. and Christian Petty Sr.; 8 grandchildren, Brandon, Bria, Dia, Christian, Caliph, Addison, London and Corey; his mother Ruby Orange; 1 Mother-in-love, Thelma Turner; 7 Sisters, Joyce Franklin (Charles) Bertha Gatewood, Khadijah Young, Diane Williams, Landonia Orange, Tammy Orange, Donna Orange; 3 brothers, Calvin Orange (Avis), Kirk Orange, Greg Orange (Gale), 2 Brother-in-laws Charles Dupree and Glenn Finney; Aunt Mary Brown, devoted friend Morty Stein and family, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was proceeded in death by Mary Finney (sister), Jessie Gaskins (brother), Margret Gaskins (sister), Father-in-love, Malcolm Turner, sister in laws Robin Orange and Estelle Hatton, brother in laws Sonny Gatewood, Donald Williams, Wayne Queen, Ronald Queen, and Nathan Dupree.
