IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Georgetta O.
Spaddie
October 18, 1933 – May 28, 2018
Georgetta Odessa Spaddie,
was born on October 18, 1933 to her late
parents Thomas and Mattie Spaddie.
Georgetta received her education in Baltimore City, Maryland. She was
blessed to have six children to whom she had a special relationship with
each one, especially with her one and only daughter, Odessa. After the
death of her daughter, her grandson, Cedric, continued to assist in support-
ing his grandmother.
She was a long-time employee at Hutzler's department store at Westview
Mall. She later worked at a daycare center on Belvedere Avenue. She
enjoyed bargain shopping all over the area. She also enjoyed traveling with
her friend, Pauline Smallwood. Her happiest moments were when she was
surrounded by all her children and grandchildren during the Christmas
holiday. With 16 grandsons, Tonka trucks, remote-control cars and action
figures were everywhere!
Georgetta is predeceased by her daughter, Odessa Wells; two sons, Edward
Bums and Charles Williams; two grandsons, Michael Wells and Donnell
Bums; two sisters, Louise Simpson and Nancy Johnson; a special nephew,
Larry Dorsey; and brother, William Spaddie; as well as other family mem-
bers.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Ned Robinson, Sr., Bernard
Burns, Sf. and Eugene Bums; five daughters in-law, Olivia "Libby" Rob-
inson, Sandra "Sandy" Burns, Rosa Burns, Joan Burns, and Leah Hamm;
two sisters, Bernice Jones and Ruth "Ruby" Spaddie; 14 grandsons; 14
great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
