Mrs. Georgia Ines Barksdale of Baltimore, Maryland, the oldest of eight children born to the late Cassie West and Charlie Lacks, departed her life on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Future Care Sandtown Winchester ursing & Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore. She was born Ocotober 9, 1911 in Nathalie, Virginia and was educated in Virginia school system. At an early age, she joined Ellis Creek Baptist Church in Nathalie, Virginia. After moving to Maryland, she joined New Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. She was a dedicated member and received a certificate of recognition by the Pastors Aide Society on November 10, 1996. She was inited in holy matrimony to the late Eddie Barksdale in 1932. To this union, five children were born: Howard, Jr. preceded her in death, Louise, Elnora, Eddie and Mary Alice. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, three daughter: Louise, Elnora, and Mary Alice; one son, Eddie; two sisters, Alice ad Elinor; fourteen grandchildren;four great grandchildren; and ten great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins great nephews, and great nieces. Her brother Howard preceded her in death.
