Georgia Lisa Bethea Alston, born October 14,1961 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Alex and Jesse Mae Bethea, made her early transition on Sunday, September zist, 2014. Lisa attended 18th Avenue Elementary school, West Kinney Secondary School, and Essex Vocation High School for Girls. Lisa went on to marry at an early age to Douglas Bethea. This union brought Kerry and Shalisa Bethea. Lisa always had a passion for working with seniors. Upon moving to Maryland, she secured a cashiers' position at Exxon in Columbia, MD where she met Bruce Parker. Through that union, Bruce Parker II was born. She later earned her CNA certification, and began working at Lorien Nursing Home in Laurel. MD. In Laurel is where she first met Andrew Alston. They would eventually marry and give birth to Alex and Adrianne. Lisa continued her passion for working with seniors by working for 1. Hayes & Associates in property management, all the while being a homemaker as well. Lisa surrendered her life to the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age in Newark New Jersey. She rededicated her life to the Lord on May 1, 2011 when she joined the First Baptist Church of Elkridge under the leadership of Pastor Alan Postell. Lisa was an active participant in the Nursery Ministry where she was able to use her gift of helps to assist in nurturing the youth. As Pastor Postell left First Baptist Church of Elkridge to begin a new ministry, Lisa always expressed a desire to join but due to health issues, was never able to make it to the Worship.
