Geraldine O. Berry, daughter of the late Raymond L. and Thelma Lindsay, was born July 1, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life December 22, 2007 after a lengthy illness. She received her education in general studies in Baltimore, Md. and started working at a young age. Geraldine was an amazing and strong person, with a kind and generous heart. She spent her whole life taking care of others along with her family. She spent twenty-eight years as a foster care mother caring for over thirty children, until her sickness got the better of her. Not letting her illness keep her down, she went to work for the Social Security Administration; and if that wasn't enough, she went back to school to take Physiology and Poetry. She wanted to be a public speaker so that she could help others. She loved to talk and could talk for hours at a time, she had that in common with her sisters. Geraldine touched the lives of everyone she knew and will be missed by all. Geraldine leaves to mourn; daughters, Karen, Sonia, Addie, Melissa and Leona; son Donnell; sisters Marlene, Vivian, Wanda and Martha; brothers, William and Sammy; aunt, Edna; niece, Veronica; granddaughter, Tashea; sisters-in-law Diane and Regina; goddaughters, Sharnell and Robbie; best friend, Carlyn Davis; and a host of grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
