We celebrate the home-going service of Geraldine Matthews, who entered into her rest with the Lord on November 16, 2011. Geraldine was born to Pauline and Richard Matthews deceased on August 24, 1930. Geraldine was one of eight children educated in Baltimore, Maryland. She gave her life to Christ and enjoyed being active in the church. Geraldine, who loved her, was known for her love of Jazz, her humor and cooking. And most importantly the love she had for her children. Geraldine had a great sense of humor, and always had an experience to share that was full of wisdom and humor. It was hard to be sad for long around her. One of her famous quotes was " I Keep It Real". Geraldine loved family gatherings and attending church until she was unable to. Geraldine has now been reunited with her parents, her son and all of her sibling. But she leaves to mourn her two daughters, Wendy Matthews and Deborah Green, One son, Warren Matthews, Seven grandchildren, Andrea Kennedy, Artisha Green, Robin Matthews, Warren Matthews Jr. Cleo Matthews, Bernard Matthews, and Jodie Matthews. Five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces , nephews, and relatives and friends.
