Gertrude Louise Edwards daughter of the late Donald and Ellen Cole,
was born on March 11, 1935 in Baltimore, MD. God called her Home
February 19, 2018 while surrounded by her family.

She received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools System.

She became a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church at an early age,
where her mother was the Pastor.

After school she became a homemaker, changing her name to "Momma"
taking care of her 5 children and uncountable adopted children. She married
Richard Roland Edwards in 1957.

She made numerous friends but, she will be truly missed by her best friend
Ms. Elaine Toogood.

Momma was the memory of the family. There wasn't a birthday, event or
day she didn't remember. She loved having throwback conversations with
her sister Ber- nice. Bingo and spending time with her grandchildren was
her specialty.

Momma leaves to mourn: 4 daughters, Barbara (William) Salter,
Denise (Hilton) Gayles, Joanne and Phyllis Edwards; 2 sons, William
Edwards (preceded in death)(Martha) and Herbert Harris; sister,
Bernice Dawson; 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 2 great
great grandchildren, 2 cousins, Buddy Milburn and Marlene Johnson;
2 nephews, Norman and Reginald Cole and a host of other close
relatives and friends.
