Gertrude Devera Fayall was born on March 26, 1940 to the late William & Dorothy Purnell in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life to be with the Lord on December 16, 2020. Gertrude was very compassionate, caring and well known for her "good cooking". Her doors were always open with loving arms and while there you were guaranteed a" fun time" and a delicious meal.

She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Dunbar High School. Soon after, she met and married the late Silas Alonzo Fayall. From this union they became the proud parents of six children. Gertrude worked in the healthcare field for many years, which allowed her to do what she enjoyed – care for others.

Gertrude loved listening to music, dancing and "binge watching" TV, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She created individual and special bonds with many people throughout her life, and in return she was loved unconditionally & will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by her Sister: Delores Farrah, Sons': Alonzo Fayall Jr., Gary Fayall and Granddaughter: Ka'Ree "Wee-Zee" Fayall. Memories of Gertrude will forever be cherished by 2 Sisters: Monzella Keith, and Vanessa Jones, 2 Daughters ': Jeanneen Fayall, and Anita Moreno (Henry Moreno). 2 Sons': Carlester Fayall and Gregory Fayall (Joann Fayall), 4 Granddaughters: Sheila Williams, Ashley Mackey, Jabria and Tyneshia Fayall, 7 Grandsons: Travis and Carlester Williams, Gary and Joshua Fayall, Henry Moreno Jr., Dashawn Moreno and "Special Grandson" Gregory Fayall (whom she raised from a baby), 17 Great-Grandchildren including "Special Greats": Takyra Fayall and Jah'air Moreno (whom she loved very deeply), along with a host of other Relatives and Friends
