Gladys Granny Bentley, daughter of Arthur Scott and Jeannette Young was born on November 1, 1924. She departed this life on December 25, 2012 after an illness. Granny received her education in Catholic schools with 11 siblings. Gladys married the late Elliot Bentley and out of this union were 8 children. Sons, Larry and Stanley preceded her in death. Granny was a hard worker. She would attend st. Peter's Church on Sunday mornings;cook Sunday dinners for the family and we enjoyed eating it. Later in life she became a member of St. Edwards Church where she was a dedicated member. She was a spiritual woman who loved good. She made numerous friends where ever she went and will truly be missed by everyone. She leaves to mourn, five daughters: Dorothy, Patricia, Pricilla, Shelia, and Lizzy; one son, Jerry; two son-in-laws and one daughter-in-law; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
