Glenda Gale Greene, daughter of the late Rev. Lonnie Jerry and Corrina Olivia Greene, was born on December 13, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on August 27, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Western Senior High School. She continued her education at Strayer Business College and Baltimore City Community College. After high school, she gained employment with the Department of Social Services and worked numerous sites in the West Baltimore area. She diligently served 24 years until she retired and went on disability. She had one loving, devoted and caring son, Tercorlen Chavis, who was born, none the less, on her birthday. 1n 2003, she met her true soul mate, the late Arthur Young. They lived happily together for 12 years until he departed. She was instrumental in raising her twin grandchildren, Kaylani and Korlen Chavis and Deandre Wise whom she loved dearly. "Gee/Gi" had her own fashion signature, she always wore a coordinating scarf around her neck. She was known to be very well coordinated and a true fashion diva. She made numerous friends wherever she went and she will be sincerely missed by everyone. She leaves to mourn: son, Tercorlen Chavis; daughter-in-law, Nasheia Chavis; adorable twin grandchildren, Kaylani and Korlen Chavis and grandson, Deandre Wise; three sisters, Vivian Grimes-Griffin, Bessie Thompson and Veronica Vaughn; two brothers-in-law, Garfield Griffin and Richard Vaughn; special friends, Beverly Davis-Alston and Adrienne Barnes and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
