The morning of November 26, 2010 god looked over the balcony of glory and saw the condition of His servant, Gloria Veronica Grandy. God dispatched an angel to her bedside and spoke softly to granny, as she was affectionately called and said, " Come unto Me and I will relieve your pain and I will give you rest." She accepted the call and rose to higher realm with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On March 3, 1944 in baltimore, Maryland gloria V. Grandy was born to the late Ezekiel Dunston and the late Ruby Cager. She was educated in the Public School System of Baltimmore City. Gloria's sprist was nurtured in her church home, John Wesley United Methodist Church underthe pastoral leadership nd guidance of Rev. Dr. Alfreda L. Wiggins. She worked in the Baltimore City School System up until her illness would not allow her continue. Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, daughter, sister, godmother and loved one, she loved her family. She loved helping everyone she met, whether a member of her church or a child in need, Gloria was always there to lend a helping hand. On March 5, 1977 Gloria met and married her husband Capt. Edward L. Grandy, Sr. who proceded her in death. Glaoria's father, Ezekiel Dunston; mother, Ruby Cager; stepfather, George Cager; brother, James McCoy; and sisters; Gwendolyn Keith and Brenda Dunston preceded her in death. She leaves a legacy of love to mourn her passing; her sons, John Wheatley, III and Edward L. Grandy, Jr.; daughters, Darlene Grandy, Shelia Scott and Donsey White; grandchildren, Jayvon Wheatley, Delise Lynch, Jontay Wheatley, Dion Smith, Edward Grandy, III, Khalilah Wilkens, Micaela Wheatley, Tytianna Pressley, Earl Scott and Shelton Sonnier; devoted parents, Sarah Thomas and James Cathcart; brothers, david Sunston, Joseph Dunston, Michael Dunston, Ezekiel Mercer and Robert Mercer; sister, Sarah Dunston-Lee; a devoted cousin, Ethel White; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
