Gloria Lucille Harris was born to Emma Louise White and Leroy Diggs
August 7 th , 1935, one of eight children.

Gloria was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System, and
was a member of True Holiness Church. She was devoted to her
church home and was an avid tither.

Gloria along with her two children James and Sharon (whom
preceded her in death)would enter into a union with Frank Nelson
With whom she had two sons Frank Jr and Kim Maurice

Nelson. (whom preceded her in death) She later would marry Joseph
H Harris the love of her life, together they worked hard to provide a
loving home.

Gloria worked as a domestic supervisor for a local hotel for several
years, before finding her true passion in foster care. As a foster care
provider Gloria nursed countless children back to health and
provided a safe haven away from their current circumstances. Her
commitment, and devotion coupled with true discipline and
education made her a force to be reckoned with.

For fun Gloria enjoyed playing cards, watching westerns, taking road
trips, and baking Christmas cookies. Her favorite song was Freddie
Jackson's "You are my lady." she loved getting dress in a sharp suit
on Sundays. and she also enjoyed writing poetry And had a
published children's book.

Gloria leaves to mourn; two sons James A. Nelson and Frank Edward
Nelson and 3 step daughters Cathy Harris, Sarah Harris, Brenda
Harris, and 2 stepsons Terry Harris and David Harris. One sister
Patricia Capital .. 7 Granddaughters; Denise, Glenda, Janel, Danielle,
Tiffany, Shanice, and Makayla. 21 Great grand kids Liayra,

Christopher, Devin, Dijae, Toniera., Britney, Vernon, Zayd, Yazeed.

Dominique, Kenneth, James, Crystal, Navon, Laura, Elijah, Talore,
Kevin, Tyler, Kilee, Kaleb. 12 Great great grandkids Calvin, Rashard,
Dominic, Joseph, Andre, Shamiera, Sincere, Aliyahna, Alaiyah, Kloeh,
Kiley, Aiden, & Vernon .
