Obituary

Gloria Lucelle grant was bor to George and Ardelia Grant on August 20, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland. God called her home on Tuesday, November 28, 2006. Gloria was educated in the Baltimore City School System. As a young adult she worked in the physicl therapy department at Sinai Hospital. Gloria received her Christian education at the Pennslyvania Avenue A.M.E. Zion Church as a young girl. She later rededicated he life to the Lord when she rejoined the Pennslyvania Avenue A.M.E. Zion Church several years ago, but the onset of her illness prevented her active participation. Gloria met and married Vernon Stevens in June 1967, who preceded her in death. She had two children; a son Vernon, who preceded her in death and a daughter, Pamela. Also preceded her in death is one brother, George ''Sam'' Grant, to whom she was devoted. Gloria was a fun-loving, cheerful and friendly person, who never met a stranger, as her dear grandmother often said of her. she had a special way of making any stranger comfortable in her conpany. Gloria loved reading and puzzles. She was very adept at knitting and crocheting. She leaves to cherish her memory; her mother and father, Ardelia carroll and George J. Grant; one daughter, Pamela Grant; two sisters, Shelly Savage and Doriene Walters; and adopted brother, Calvin Brown, one brothwer-in-law, Charles Walters; three grandchhildren, Antoinette, Mark and Lynette; two aunts, Pauline Yarbough and Beatrice Williams; two uncles, Upshur Carroll and Gregory Carroll of Crston, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
