GRACE MILDRED GRIMES was born on December 21,
1925 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Levi Wilson and Jenny
Stevenson. She departed this life on Sunday, March 13, 2016
after a brief illness.

She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System
and later went on to do various jobs.

She met and married the love of her life the late James Wesley
Grimes. That love affair lasted for twenty-eight years until a
lengthy illness departed them. Out of this union they were
blessed with seven children. She leaves to mourn: three sons
and two daughters, James (Brenda), Grace (Sherman), Kenneth
(Penny), Eric (Sheila), Lisa (Kevin); fifteen grandchildren; a sister-
in-law and special friend, Elizabeth Stevenson; two nieces and
one nephew; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-
grandchildren and family and friends.

Preceding Grace in death are: her children, Ina and Paul; grandson,
Bill; three brothers, William, Joseph and Issac.

Grace was a loving caring woman who made you feel welcome
in her home of 65 years. You could come to her for advice,
attention and most of all love. She enjoyed helping people and
taking care of kids. She loved eating crabs, dancing around the
house and hanging out with family. She never showed anger
towards anyone, she always understood and made things right.
In her last days at A Touch of Joy Assisted Living, she was well
taken care of. When she went to live there this past year, she
acquired more children Jackie, Florence and the owners Mr. and
