Grant U. Batty, son of the late Ger-
aldine and Thomas H. Batty, Jr., was
born April 21, 1940 in Baltimore,
Maryland. On October 22, 2018 he
completed his journey in this life
after a lengthy illness. He was pre-
ceded in death by his wife Roslyn N.
Batty; his daughter, Margaret L. Bat-
ty; one sister, Marilyn Teresa Lynn
Nickens; 2 brothers, Ralph Batty and
Thomas H. Batty, III. Grant received
his education in the Baltimore City
Public School System. Left to cher-
ish his memory are 2 daughters,
Deborah Pope and Wanda Batty; 3
sons, Grant T. Batty, Daryl L. Batty
Sf. and Dana L. Batty; 12 grandchil-
dren, 13 great grandchildren; two
sisters, Delores Coward and Dorothy
McLaurin; and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
