Gregory M. Buie, son of the late Doris L. Demby and the late Robert A. Buie Sr. was born on May 22, 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on July 5, 2007 after a long battle with Sickle Cell Anemia. Gregory was known to everyone who loved him as Kackie. He received his education in the Baltimore public school system. Kackie lived with Sickle Cell Anemia all of his life which caused him to constantly be ill. With every episode he could always depend on his loving aunt and Pastor, Laverne Gaither to be by his side. He was uncle Kackie, funny, playful, easy going and full of jokes. He was a stern uncle and the kids knew when he was joking and when he was serious. Uncle Kackie loved to eat and drink. His favorite foods was seafood. Kackie was one of those little guys that everyone came to for advice, even of ot wasn't the best advice. Most of all Kackie was very helpful, although his help wasn't alwaysneeded. Kackie had a very strong and loving relationship with his soul mate of fifteen years Veronica Smith. He also had a loving relationship with her children Nyesha and Kimberly, her mother Betty Smith and grandchildren. Kackie had a close relationship with his sisters, Karen, Lucy and Alicia and his younger brother Rommie. Gregory leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter Dawn Buie of Newport, News Va and Roan Demby of Baltimore,Md., five sisters, Roberta Dunn of Newport News, Va Lucy Cousin, Karen Johnson, Gerrie Pratt, and Alicia Day of Baltimore, Md.; eighteen nieces and nephews, Quandra, Kiya, Kiara, Kernell, Sherlene, Regina , Corey, Bonita, Dorothy, Monica, Trina, Renita, Tony, Ronald Ronnie Jr., Richard Jr., Shakia, Roan Jr. and Jeremy, nine great niece, nephews and a host of relatives who will miss him dearly. Kackie had six very special people in his life, cousin Nusty and son David, nephew Ronnie, close friends Norman Moon, Lester Coogie, Tyrone and two God children; Shante Thumbelina and Ricardo Big Face.
