Gregory George, son of the late Otis and Johnnie George, was born on i August 15, 1955. He departed this life on August 21, 2014, after a brief iII- ness. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System., Gregory was then employed by the City of Baltimore Department of Sanita- tion for over 36 years. He retired from his position in 2004. He was a faithful member of Greater Faith Baptist Church where he be- came an "honorary member of the Liturgical Dance Ministry". Gregory loved his pastor. He affectionately referred to Rev. Dr. White as "Momma Leah". Gregory loved music, singing and having fun. He always had a smile, pleasant personality, and a warm spirit of hospitality. He will be missed by his neighbors who could count on him to collect all their trash cans and put them back at their houses on collection day. When it snowed, Gregory was the one who would go out and shovel to make sure his neighbors could get out. His church members will miss him from dancing in the aisles and praising the Lord. He always had a testimony about the goodness of the Lord and his total commitment to the Kingdom. Even on Gregory's sick bed, he was giving God all the praise. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Otis George, his siblings, Stanley and Darlene and a grandson, Tyrek. Gregory leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Gena Bowman- McCray (Andre Sr.) and Gregory George Jr., his brothers and sisters: Ray- mond George, Melvin George, Delores Thomas, Leon George, Carol Wal- lace (Wilbert), Monica George, Morris George, and Lorraine George; his grandchildren: Richard, Reginald, Nadeja, Thomas, Andreya, and Andre Jr., a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
