IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gregory L.
Kearney
August 1, 1959 – February 5, 2018
Gregory Landon Kearney, son of the late James and Ernestine Kearney was born on August 1, 1959. He departed this life on February 5, 2018, after a brief illness.
Greg, as he was affectionately known by all, received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Greg graduated and became a member of the National Guard. He later accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior on May 27, 2007 at Soul Harvest Church and Ministries under the pastorate of its Founder/Pastor, Min. Merrill R. Griffin.
Greg worked as a roofer for many years until he became disabled after falling from a roof while working. He was a very talented man and could literally build a house from nothing. He continued to work even after his accident to prevent for losing the ability to be creative. It was on one of these jobs that he met his lifelong companion, Deborah Thomas. They remained together until his untimely death.
Greg loved everyone that he came in contact with. He was a very outgoing person who loved to have fun. Greg expressed his love genuinely, especially to his one and only son, Gregory Landon Kearney, Jr., who preceded him in death. Greg was one of seven children, out of which, Gail, Doris, Kim, and Dwayne, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish her memory: his loving mother, Ernestine Kearney; one sister, Regina; one brother, Timothy; his lifelong companion/wife, Deborah; three stepchildren, James, Sabrina, and Nakia (Larissa); five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; mother-in-Iove, Lillian; one sister-in-law, Tara; four uncles; five aunts; one niece, Ashley; five nephews, Kelly, Malik, Simeon, Cedric, II, and Jordan; his best friends, George (Uncle Bubbie) and Tyrone; the entire Anthony family; a host other relatives and friends.
