Gwendolyn Joyce Harrell, the daughter of the late John Henry and Annie Harrell, was born on July 6, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on Febuary 7, 2008 after a brief illness. Gwen received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. She was employed by CSJ Manufacturing Company for 10 years until it's close and Trifinity Manufacturing Company for 13 years until her illness. Gwen was a beautiful person who really loved life. A true people person, always wearing a smile that would brighten any room, she was truly the center of attention where ever she went. Though not big in stature, she had a very big presence. A lover of so many things; Gwen enjoyed traveling, and family gatherings. She was especially fond of shopping and high heeled shoes. She would often turn heads with her larger than life attitude and stylish outfits. She had a wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh, that affected everyone she knew. Gwen made friends where ever she went and was loved by all who knew her. Gwen was so many things to so many people; a mother, a confidante, and a wonderful friend. She touched the lives of everyone she encountered, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn: one son, Jermaine Shannon; two brothers, Charles and Herman Harrell; four sisters, Jean, Evelyn, Dorothy Harrell and Janice Harrell-Moore; four grandchildren, LaBria, Jermaine Jr., Jamaira, Jerbreal; one sister-in-law, Cynthia Harrell; nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. She also leaves to mourn, a very special friend Randy, A god-daughter Nikki; friend Mr. Joe and a friend forever Sandra. Her brother Robert preceded her in death.
