Hampton Maurice Green was born on June 9, 1953 in Baltimore, MD to the late
Joseph and Elizabeth Missouri Green. Hampton was one of 8 children. His two brothers Carl
Lawrence Green and Benjamin Green as well as his son Christopher Green preceded him in
death.
On Sunday, April 10, 2016 after a long fight with illness GOD whispered ''you have fought a
good fight, you've kept the faith and your task on earth is done. Come on home."
Hampton who was affectionately known as "Harnp" to his family and friends received his
education in the Baltimore City Public Schools System. He also attended Boston College under
a scholarship for soccer and Baltimore City Community College.
At an early age he received his Christian foundation and was baptized at First Mount Calvary
Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD.
"Hamp" held numerous jobs in the grocery food industry during the majority of his lifetime. He
was known for his witty humor and constant bad jokes that most of us didn't find funny, but you
had to laugh to stop him from telling any more. He was athletic and enjoyed baseball, soccer and
his favorite NFL football team the Philadelphia Eagles. He loved eating crabs, cooking,
drawing, watching Tv/Movies and playing with the kids. "Hamp" had a way of making others
smile and at the same time he never hesitated to say his favorite words when he needed you to
"GET OUT". He was a humble man with lots of pride and love for his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his lifelong partner and love Catherine Wood, one son Antonio Green
