Hdarold Patterson Sr., son of the Audrey Smith and Gilbert Barnes, stepson of the late Calvin J. Smith , Sr., was born August 10, 1942. He departed this life on March 24, 2010, after a lengthy illness. He was the oldest of nine children. Harold attended Baltimore City Public Schools. He graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute. He was employed by General Electric for many years. He also worked at Adell Plastic Company, Russell Williams, Inc. and Novatec Company. He retired in August, 2004. Harold met and married althea on July 30, 1999. He was a loving and devoted husband. They enjoyed life together. Harold accepted Christ and was baptized at the Community Baptist church, under the leadership of Reverend Milton N. Lemon. Harold loved the Lord and attended church services reqularly, until his health failed. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and brother, a friend to all. Harold enjoyed being around family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and cookouts. He was an avid sports fan, he loved people and he loved to travel. Harold will always be remembered for his beautiful smile and calm demeanor. He leaves to mourn; his loving wife, Althea; three sons, Roger, Harold Jr., and Broderick; daughter, Karrinne Patterson; stepson, Warren Barnes; seven grandchildren and two gret-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Iletha White; father-in-law, William Jones; brothers, Calvin, Michael, Rodney and Reginald Smith four preceded him in death Keith, Anthony, Jeffrey and Bernard six sisters, Audrey Smith, Ernestine, Regina, Linda, Deborah and Katina Barnes; Two brothers-in-law, Robert Young, Marvin Jones; four sisters-in-law, Natalie, Sonya, Stephanie and Karen; eight aunts, Mildred, Esther, Dorothy, Denise, Alberta, Queen Esther, Nanny and Betty; three uncles, Melvin, Sherman and Charles; a host of other relatives and friends.
